The green channel marker buoy is used to indicate the left (port) edge of the channel when traveling upstream or entering a harbor. The green color, flat top, and odd numbers are standard navigation indicators. Boaters navigate with the green channel markers on the left (port side) during return to port. Reminder: Red-Right-Return.
